How do I estimate the shipping charges for an item/s?

Click the 'Estimate Shipping' button in the shopping cart to estimate shipping charges for the items currently in your cart.

Is packing and handling included in the shipping charge?

Yes, the shipping charge includes both postage and handling. We do not charge extra for handling.

Do you require any additional information with the order?

We request that you please provide a phone number (preferably mobile) when submitting your order for delivery purposes.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship our handmade wooden products worldwide.

Are Import Duties & Taxes included in the Shipping charge?

No, please be aware that there may be additional import duties and taxes for international shipments. These duties and taxes may be liable to be paid upon arrival in the destination country. This varies by country, and we encourage you to be aware of these potential costs before placing an order with us. To emphasize, these costs are not in the scope of Fabian Woodworks supply.

Where do you despatch orders from?

We despatch orders from our factory in Braeside, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia.

How long does it normally take to despatch an order?

We require around 7 - 10 business days to make and despatch our handmade and made to order products, depending on their size and complexity. 

How do you pack each parcel to ensure the item is delivered safely?

We pack each item carefully and use a variety of packing materials to ensure the best chance that the parcel is delivered to you safely. We pad the edges of each item with thick pieces of Styrofoam and ship each item in secure cardboard boxes to protect the item from damage during transit.

Is shipping insurance and tracking available?

Yes, For your peace of mind, we ship all parcels with Tracking and Insurance. Tracking and Insurance is included in the shipping charge. There are no additional costs to the customer for this service.

Which shipping companies do you use to despatch orders?

For Australian orders, we despatch orders through Australia Post or local couriers. For International orders, we use Australia Post and your corresponding national postal service. 

Do you offer an Expedited Shipping option?

Yes, when placing your order you can select from Standard Shipping or Express Shipping options. 

How will I be notified when an order has been despatched?

When an order is despatched, we update the order record with the tracking no. and change the order status to shipped. This automatically triggers a system generated email that is sent to update you of the changed order status and includes the tracking no. for the parcel.

How do I track my parcel?

When we despatch an item, we provide you with a tracking number for the parcel. For parcels sent via Australia Post, you can track your parcel using the 'AusPost Track Your Item' web page or alternatively by using the Track order status page on our website.

How long after a parcel has been despatched can I expect to receive it?

For delivery within Australia, please allow 5-10 business days from the item being shipped. In most cases, delivery is much quicker. For International deliveries, we use the Pack and Track or Express Post International services depending on the size of the parcel. Please refer to the Auspost International Delivery options page for delivery timeframes.

When do deliveries occur?

As items are delivered by Australia Post or Couriers, these occur during normal business hours (9am to 5pm on weekdays).

Do you ship bulky items like the Meat Safe?

Yes. As these items are outside the AusPost max dimensions for calculation, please Contact Us with your postal address and the name of the item/s. We will promptly respond with an accurate quote for delivery of the item/s to your location.

Can I pick up my items?

Yes. Please Contact Us prior to ordering and we will send you an invoice for the items minus the shipping. When the items are ready, we will contact you to arrange an appointment to pick up the items. Due to current Covid-19 stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne, we are implementing contactless click and collect.

What is contactless click and collect for pickup?

When you drive into our carpark, call us to let us know that you have arrived. Your order will be delivered to your car, completely contact free.
